- This work has helped me be more comfortable teaching a class full of students, become more aware of motor skills and how to support that growth, and promote positive behavior and atmosphere in the classroom.
Nanny/Family Manager, Axtman Family, 2016-Current
- 4 children raging in age from 9-14
- Cook meals, give rides, and have fun in a safe way
- This work has helped me practice making sincere connections with children and provide fun activities that can promote learning.
Tutor, Independent, Summer 2018
- AVMR (Add+Vantange Math Recovery) - Addition and subtraction 20 and under, utilizing 10 frame and 20 frame cards
- Reading - Improve fluency, inflection, and word attack
- Overall engagement and attending to task on activities
- This experience helped me to improve in teaching students one on one and finding different strategies to meet their needs. It was also very influencial in helping me learn different strategies of teaching, especially in math.

- Was emersed in many different cultures and languages
- Gained perspective of what it might feel like being a student who is learning the English language (EL)
Diversity Class, Spring 2018
- Planned and co-led a scavenger hunt for Marketplace for Kids at the Heritage Center
- Learned a great amount about Native American culture and history, which will help me greatly when working with and teaching about that population
Early Childhood Practicum, Spring 2018
- Went on home visits with the Key Infant Development Services and saw plans in action for students who are developmentally behind cognitively, physically, or emotionally
- Was in Mrs. Gust's Kindergarten class at Sunrise Elementary where I taught a student who was just getting and IEP and had a hard time with English as his family spoke other languages at home
